Science Buddies: "Ask an Expert"

I cannot think of a good testable question that I can form a hypothesis around and check for it. Suggestions?

You have selected a very interesting project which uses bioinformatics (using computers to explore biological processes) to explore online databases to identify possible problems which could occur when the Ebola drugs are used to actually treat patients. If you work with this science project you will come up with information that will help you form hypotheses about the possible interference of the drugs with normal function. However, this project does not involve actually conducting the laboratory experiments to test the hypotheses. Such laboratory experiments are beyond the scope of this project.

But that should not discourage you from working on this project. Any of the 3 suggestions for "making it your own" would be very exciting projects to explore. And doing so would allow you to learn about the bioinformatic tools which are at the cutting edge of discovering which drugs have the potential to improve prevention and treatment of a deadly disease!
