Smileys???

Anyway, on to your fire question. Try doing google, ask.com, and answer.com searches on "Forest Fire Causes", or "Forest Fire Prevention", or "Wood combustion".

This should get you started.

You need to narrow down your topic to a question that you can test and find results for. Something on the order of "What is the effect of X on Y?"

Hope this helps...

Simply put, fire is started by heating a fuel to the point of combustion.
That heat can be generated by friction, electricity, chemical reaction, and other sources.

The following site has some basic fire information that may also help:

The site is actually answers.com (not answer.com).

Could have been worse. At least I didn't type/spell "fire" wrong.
