turf heat and toxins

Good morning,
I am looking at the effects of turf quality and how hot it gets when heated/placed in direct sunlight. As a second study, I also want to look at air quality when the turf is heated to see if it releases toxins. I wanted to put turf in a closed container under a heat lamp with a 3M air sampling badge to see if toxins could be detected. Do you think this is reasonable way to detect air toxins? If not, could you direct me to a better method?

Hi,

I'm a little confused about your project. Maybe you can clarify some things. What do you mean by 'turf'--sod? lawn grass? wild grass?

Why do you expect turf to release a toxin? What sort of toxins? What is your hypothesis exactly?

If you could please answer these questions, I might be able to help you with your project.
