Science Buddies: "Ask an Expert"

Hi so i am doing this project: https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... ransmitter, about making my own am radio transmitter. My problem is that in the procedure it says in step 3a and 3b to Plug the 3.5 mm cable's ground (uninsulated) wire into hole A9 and
Plug either the left or right audio wire (it does not matter which) into hole A5. However when I look at the picture (figure 6)
It shows the opposite and the cables ground is in hole A5 and the insulated wire is in hole A9.

I need someones help to tell me which one to trust the procedure or the picture and which wire goes in which hole, because i do not know.

You are correct, the instruction and picture definitely appears to be opposite of each.
The good news though, is that it should work in either configuration. The transformer generate a potential difference between these two wires and both ways will generate a signal. (It's kind of like if you are standing on a hill - you can measure the potential energy from the ground up or you can measure from the hill down. The magnitude of the results should be the same.)
