Hi!
I have a question on incubating my bacteria. So i had petri dishes and used sterile cotton swabs and swabbed different areas of the house. I started to incubate them in my oven, but if i keep it on, it'll start to melt and the plastic will glue together. Any suggestions on what i need to do? My science fair is this tuesday!

Hello bacteria kills and thank you for your patience.

It would help if you could describe your project - but since it sounds like you are running out of time I suggest that you not use the oven since, as you've discovered, that is too hot. You could try putting your plates in the warmest part of your kitchen and leave them for several days. Let us know how this works out.
