Science Buddies: "Ask an Expert"

Hello, everyone!

I'm conducting a project regarding the cognition of drosophila and their reactions to negative stimuli. For this, I would like to use a T-maze in order to test this cognition, but every outlet I've searched that sells such equipment (San Diego Instruments, etc.) has either not provided me with a price or is selling it for several hundred to a thousand dollars. Can any advice be provided regarding the purchase of an inexpensive maze or instructions regarding building one?

I'm also looking for assistance regarding buying an instrument to introduce controlled electric shocks to the maze. Any help is greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance!

You might be able to construct one. I will link a video of an experiment to give you with some ideas.
Another idea is if you can find a science teacher to work with who already has the equipment that you want to use.
