Okay, I have the magnets and the steel marbles.

How far apart shold the magnets be from each other?
Which side should the magnets be facing?
How many magnets should I use?
How long shold my ruler approx. be?

see the your other thread where I respond to your query. Also, steel balls are generally called "ball bearings" and marbles are generally made of glass- you may want to double check that these steel balls fit the "marble" part of the project.
