Hello, I am doing a project called Great Globs of Gluten. If you look at the procedure, it says that you strain the gluten to make a ball. What I'm wondering is this:

What is the correct term for a ball of gluten? And how do you know if the ball only contains gluten?

Hi lolzipop7,

I'm assuming that you are working on the project described here:

“Gluten ball” of “ball of gluten” should be acceptable terms for gluten material prepared in this project. The gluten balls probably have some leftover components from flour so they are not 100% gluten. Some chemical analysis would be needed to find out the amount of gluten in a ball.

I hope this helps. Please ask again if you have more questions.
