Dear Science Buddies Team,

For this experiment: https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... n-a-recipe

Am I baking 5 half batches; one with baking powder and bake four more of the same recipe (without baking powder) with ALL of these:

0 teaspoons cream of tartar, 3/4 teaspoons baking soda,
1 teaspoon cream of tartar, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda,
1 1/2 teaspoons cream of tartar, 3/4 teaspoons baking soda,
2 teaspoons cream of tartar, 1 teaspoon baking soda.

Or am i supposed to make only 4 half batches and choose 3 of those 4 options?)

I am confused, and my teacher doesn't really help.

Hi Shybria,

This sounds like a fun project! To follow the procedure you will be baking a total of five batches. As you said, the first batch with baking powder and four more with no baking powder but with a mix of cream of tarter/baking soda.

Hope this helps!
