I am doing an experiment and I am going to get hollowed eggshells and put one in each coffee, pepsi and, Hot Chocolate. Do they stain your teeth? Do you have any ideas? Have anyone you know done this experiment? if so please tell me how it turned out! Please answer back quick!

Hi Kate,

An eggshell is probably not the best substitute for a tooth in doing a staining experiment, but it will show some results. I would also include blueberry and pomegranate juice as I know from experience that these stain just about everything!

You might add an extra bit to your experiment by trying to 'brush' your eggshells with a whitening toothpaste and see if it reduces the staining. Here again, tooth paste is designed to work on teeth, not eggshells so you have to mention that in your write-up.

Good luck, and do let us know how this works for you.
