Read through the beginning sections of the science fair project guide:

You might also look at the Engineering Project Guide and compare the differences between a science project and an engineering project:
https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... cess-guide
and then look at all of the sections in the "Constructing a Hypothesis" -
try to relate the examples there to what you are measuring. What are you observing? What are you changing?
Thinking about these concepts and trying to answer these questions is an important part of doing a science project!
