Hi,
If you live near a lake or pond, get some pond algae and look at that. It will be loaded with a wondrous variety of protozoans, rotifers, algae and Daphnia--lots of neat things to take photos of with your phone 'scope.

The onion cells need to be stained with a dye like methylene blue or even iodine in order to be seen clearly: https://www.microscopemaster.com/onion- ... scope.html

If you want to look at your own cells just rub a spoon gently against the inside of your cheek and put the cells onto a slide. They need to be stained in order to see them best under the 'scope. Borrow some methylene blue from a friend who works in a lab. https://www.microscopemaster.com/cheek- ... scope.html

Good luck!
