Help for Project: Trial Question

Hello,

My teacher set out the guidelines that everyone has to do at least 10 trials for their experiment. I am doing this experiment:

https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... square-law

I was wondering that to calculate many trails would I just calculate the distance again and again for each type of lightbulb i compare? I would then have slightly different numbers and then I would calculate the average of them and apply the inverse square law. Right?

I would appreciate any help! Thanks!!

Yes - your outlined procedure would allow you to complete 10 trials for each type of light bulb. You would then average these measurements to calculate the intensity of the second light bulb.

Good luck,

Audrey
