Science Buddies: "Ask an Expert"

Hello,
can anyone tell me what are the rules for the paper bridge challenge, like what must be the self weight of the bridge, the width, the length and type of the paper used, we want to organize a competition but i couldn't find the rules or standards for the challenge neither in sciencebuddy nor scientificamerica websites.

The lesson plan on our site has suggested rules you could follow listed in step 3 the "Explore" section (note - you must be logged in as a parent or teacher on our site to see this page):

However, because Science Buddies is not running a centralized contest, these rules are not "mandatory." You can adjust the rules as you see fit depending on your situation. For example, if you are working with younger students, you could put the books closer together or let them use more tape, as this will make it easier to build a bridge that can hold more weight.
