Hello! I’m helping my son with his project. Using a kit, he constructed the frame of the car. It is very cloudy today, but I took the car outside to see if we can get the motor running. Nothing has happened. I’m wondering if it needs to be a very bright, sunny day?

Hello,

Yes, in general for solar-powered projects to work, you will need full sunlight. You can also test some solar projects indoors with a high-wattage incandescent bulb (100 or 150W, or even a 250W heat lamp), but they won't work with LED or CFL bulbs.

Hope that helps!
