Science Buddies: "Ask an Expert"

Hi, I'm in third grade and wanted to do a research project on Black Holes for my science fair. Is there a way to actually illustrate how black holes work? I was thinking of using a funnel and some styrofoam peanuts and a hand held vacuum that could suck the styrofoam pellets into the funnel.

They show how you can make a model using a large, stretchy piece of fabric. Your vacuum idea also sounds like a good one though!
