How do I test the absorption rate of gummy vitamins?

For our project, we will be evaluating the bioavailability/absorption rate of different gummy vitamin brands. Do we have to use a substance similar to stomach acid in order to test it, or is the combination of water and vinegar enough to test it?

In general, using a model closest to the actual situation will provide you the best answer. However, in this case your question is a "relative" one, meaning you're comparing different samples in the same situation. Since you are testing different brands of vitamins, using water and vinegar should give you a similar answer as something more similar to stomach acid. In addition, water and vinegar are safer to work with in a home environment.
