Science Buddies: "Ask an Expert"

Hello,
Is it possible to replicate a comand which is  activated by a touchscreen pushbutton? E.g. by physically connecting 2 lines (cables) inside a device. If yes, how can you locate the specific lines, exactly? The goal is to be able to remote control one specific command / function (key unlock - door opener).
I'm on a project for home automation systems with some Bticino / Legrand devices (kits 317213, 317113).
