As for my research, this specific of a question might be hard to find on a database, encyclopedia, or really trustworthy source. Most that appear are from exterminators, which could be reliable, but also might lack some important scientific background.

However, I can recommend that you research more of a broad topic in relation to biology, such as "Do different sugars attract different animals/insects?" Or "What is the basis of an ant's eating habits/diet?" or "Why is sugar an attraction to insects", which could bring about more specific details in your findings.
