Science Buddies: "Ask an Expert"

As the title, I wanna ask you guys about the degradation of polymers in UV light. I knew it possible but I want to speed it up. So my idea is to adding something call catalysis which is ZnO. It has another name call "photocatalysis". I don't know if this is work but at first I'd like to ask you guys "Could is it possible?".

Are you working on a hands-on science project about polymer degradation? If so please post some details about your project such as your hypothesis and experimental plan.
