need help developing mechanical arm

Hi, uh me and my classmates have physics this year and the topic we chose for our science fair was a mechanical arm i don know how to really do it but the idea is to make the hand type on a keyboard its not electric its a manual hand but im not really sure how to do it so if you can plaeae get back to me as soon as you can it would be be great
