Eye of the beholder and mind of the beheld experiment

For this experiment I'm really interested in seeing how what guy's find attractive in a girl compares to what a girl finds attractive in a guy. I'm just struggling to formulate a hypothesis, and how to get my data. Could I make a survey for them to take, or just ask them the questions I formulate up front? My topic is broad, so is there a way I could specify it to make a better hypothesis? Thanks!

There have been many many studies in the field of physical attraction, as well as in self reported, survey-based research that can find correlations in non-physical attributes.
Here is a review that cites many papers you may be able to look into, see what piques your interest!

If you cannot access, you may be able to by getting on a university's WiFi or VPN, with their permission.
If you are going in the survey direction, I would say you can ask nearly anything, provided you ask the identical questions to both men and women so you can compare the answers by group. You may choose to use yes/no, or rate how important 'x' attribute is in a romantic partner.
