For my chemistry project we have to make a bioplastic that has a practical use. I chose to make a bioplastic that was grippy and could be used to make door stops, phone cases, bathroom Mats ect. The problem is I can’t find anywhere how to make a grippy bioplastic with simple ingredients, I’d really appreciate anyone who can help. If making a bio plastic that is grippy is too hard what would be a good bio plastic that can have a practical use? Thanks!

Hi,

Natural rubber might qualify as a “grippy” bioplastic. And some of the items you mentioned in your post could be made with it. You may want to try an online search for bioplastics with high coefficients of friction as I think this property corresponds to “grippiness”.

I hope this helps and good luck with your project. Please post again if you have more questions.
