It feels like a chicken and egg problem

I have read that magma is formed by molten rocks.
And I also read the different types of rocks are made by frozen magma or lava.

So is it just recycling of magma to rocks and visa versa?

The Ask the Expert forums are for students in grades K-12 (and their parents and teachers) who are doing hands-on science projects. The Interview Request forum is also intended for students in grades K-12.

If you are a student in grades K-12 and you are doing a hands-on science project, please provide more detail about your science project, including your hypothesis and the experiments which you plan to conduct to test your hypothesis.
