I'm a 5th grade Science Teacher and I wanted some suggestions for what variables students could test to make the Cricket Wicket their own project.

Hello brownjo73,

Have you looked at these lesson plans for the cricket wicket project?

https://www.sciencebuddies.org/teacher- ... +challenge

I see that this project is considered an engineering project rather than a science project. You might be interested in comparing the Science Buddies project guide for engineering projects:

https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... cess-guide

to the project guide for science projects:

https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... ience-fair

I have been a judge at the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) and I can assure you that both types of projects are well-represented at ISEF, so don't shy away from engineering projects!

I hope you find these Science Buddies resources useful and you and your students enjoy working on the cricket wicket project! Be sure to let us know if you have more questions .... and let us know if the students enjoyed the project.
