Science Buddies: "Ask an Expert"

Ok. My project is the effect of sports drinks on rehydration. I was gunna test on people but my science teacher doesnt want me to do that. Do you have any ideas?

You don't need to post duplicate message threads (one is enough!). I am not sure how you can do this easily without involving people, as the whole point is to replenish athletes' electrolytes during intense training, right? Does your teacher have any ideas about doing it chemically? Also, what grade are you in?

I didn't even know i posted duplicates. I am in 8th grade. All my teacher told me was not to use people. She didn't sat anything else.
