Hello, I am having a hard time figuring out what is being measured in this project because I am required to have a project that measures something so I just want to be sure this is measuring something so I don't make a fool out of myself.

The Can Water Float on Water project could include measurements of the water density (step 10 under Salinity and Mixing) if you have a hydrometer or water temperature (step 3 under Temperature and Mixing) if you have a thermometer. However, these are limited an not as important to the project since you are not analyzing the results in any way.
