Lip balm project

Post by ssg02003 »

Hello,

My daughter is testing vegan, plant-based lip balm recipes (adapted from the lip balm project from science buddies replacing bees wax with candelilla wax). She figured that she could use leaves which have netted pattern like the lips such as ficus leaves or hibiscus leaves. She ordered a ficus leaf plant from Amazon. She ordered a wrong moisture meter though, because what she would like is to measure moisture retention on the leaf. She ordered a moisture meter for the soil.

Any advice on what moisture meter she should order?

Thanks!

Was your student able to solve this and find something that would work?
