Step Site versus Terrace Site on a metal catalyst

Hello,
I have searched for definitions, differences, etc. but can't find any information. I am reading a journal article, and step sites and terrace sites are often discussed when learning about catalysts, but I don't know the difference. I need to know. Any help would be appreciated.
