Plasma Engine

Post by Goelv »

Hi,
I have a project revolving around the design of VASIMR plasma engines, these are engines wherein gas (Xenon, Argon or Krypton) is ionised and the resulting plasma is accelerated to generate thrust, I want to design and produce a working 'mini' engine as part of this project, my question is: How can I use a cheap Radio Frequency Generator to ionise gas efficiently, I cant. find any help/guidance on using these so far so I just need a breakdown on how to use the RF Generator to create a signal with a frequency of about 100mhz as well as what equipment is needed (antenna and such)

Thank You
