planes in "making an object invisible to radar" project

Post by Leo37 »

Ok so I am doing this project for school, and instead of using paper I am using 3d printed airplane models of real life scaled down 1:200. I was wondering if I should put them on a stand to get better results, as they are only about 1-2 inches tall thanks!

Hi - yes, it seems like that would be a good idea for this project so the ground does not affect the reflections as much. The shapes in our version of the project are all tall and have the same cross-section, so this isn't as much of a concern, but I don't think you'd want your planes resting directly on the ground.
