Post by EMSTEM360 »

What number do I multiply with the other AU if I change Earths distance to 5 centimeters? Thanks for your help.

The cm values in this experiment were determined by multiplying the AU values by 10. When changing Earth's distance to 5 cm, you can either divide all of the given cm values by 2, as 10/5 = 2, or you can multiply the AU values by 5. Mathematically, both of these options are equivalent, and you will get the same results. Hopefully this is helpful, and let us know if you have any other questions!
Good luck with your experiment,
Chloe
