meat dissolving in liquids

We have just started our science project about which liquid (diet coke, coke, sprite, orange juice, or non-alcoholic beer) will dissolve raw meat the fastest? We need to get more research. We have been unable to find any good sources...please help!!!

Are you trying to model what happens in the stomach?

If so, I would research how the stomach works (acid!) and then research the pH of the pH of the liquids you are using and see if they are as acidic as the stomach.

That said, I think that you are going to be very careful that you don't get bacteria in your sample. Sprite and meat in non-sterile conditions is going to grow all sorts of baceteria... I think this will smell very bad before is "dissolves". Honestly, I think most of your samples will rot (be eaten by bacteria) rather than dissolve from the liquids.
