This is a very common project... I did it myself in elementary school about a million years ago!

If you want instructions for the project, I suggest using a search engine such as google and try such searches as "electricity from a lemon" or "lemon battery". Pretty much any set of key words works here, since it is such a popular experiment.

If you want to know how this works, you do the same search, read about different types of cells, and then post back here with questions.

Interesting. I like the variations and the questions posed, but I think there are clearer instructions at other sites.

However, the best way to get a good experimental procedure is to read a bunch of different procedures. See which elements are in common, and which instructions are best written, and use pieces of each.
