Hello, does anybody know anywhere that I could get magnetic tape that is monopolar?

- Ebay
- Specific electronic suppliers (like Mouser)

Hi - The project (https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... ain-weight) does list a source for monopolar magnetic tape.

While it is easy to buy magnetic tape online, it can be hard to tell from the available information if it is monopolar. The information may not be available at all. As noted in the project directions:

Many magnetic tapes that you can buy online are bipolar or multipolar, which means that they consist of many strips of alternating N and S poles. If you buy a bipolar or multipolar tape, you can repolarize it to make it work in this project. Follow the instructions in step 7 of the FAQ section to repolarize the magnetic tape before you start with this project.

If you have tape that isn't working as expected, go through the steps to repolarize it.
