Hi, I hope you are having a good day! I am looking for grants to help with my science fair project. I am going in to 9th grade at Wray Jr. Sr. High school in Colorado and I am doing a project on how we can use bacteria to fight an invasive plant called cheatgrass. I was wondering if you could direct me to where I can apply for grants for my project if possible. Have a good day.
God Bless,
Kaycee Clark

Hi Kaycee - it is great that you are already thinking about your 9th grade project.
Unfortunately, we don't have information or maintain listings of funding sources that may be available for student projects.
Reaching out to a mentor, if necessary, might also help point you in the direction of support, if something like that is available. (See the link in Step 4 of this resource:

Your teacher may also have suggestions.

Hi Kaycee,
In addition to the excellent advice by the previous expert, you might try to reach out to the local/county/state agriculture experiment stations/agents. This could be an excellent source of the background info on agricultural impacts of cheatgrass as well as what is being done in your area. The local universities might have agriculture departments who could also provide such information. This could be an excellent way to find a mentor!
Best of luck with your project!
