Hi - I hope your student enjoys the experiment.
Which directions are you using?
The "project" is an advanced project:

Disposal and cleanup notes are near the end of the procedure, Step 10: "When you are sure everything has been extinguished, you can dispose of the aluminum foil, used chemical-coated skewers, and spent fuel tablet in the garbage."
We would love to hear how the project goes!

Thank you, we are really excited to get started! I appreciate you getting back to us. I realized I was questioning a different video (on a different site) in which they used beakers, water, and ethanol. Understanding all precautions and following all safety instructions, would the disposal and clean up be the same?
Thank you!

I would check the directions for the project you are using - and contact the site if there are questions. Ethanol is labeled a hazardous material. A lot will depend on what % you are using.
(It shouldn't be put down the drain.)
