Bioluminescent Street Lights

I want to do a project experimenting on bioluminescent street lights, but I'm not sure where to start, initially I wanted to test like if they have a negative effect on the environment and how they are sustainable and I'm not sure exactly how I would test it because there are a few cities that have tried having bioluminescent or natural lighting but there isn't enough info for me to put together a concrete science proposal. I can do research on like the sustainability of it, but I need help on like how I would actually conduct an experiment on making a bioluminescent light.

To experiment with bioluminescent streetlights:

1. Choose a bioluminescent organism (e.g., algae or genetically engineered bacteria).
2. Create a controlled environment using containers or transparent tubes for light testing.
3. Test environmental factors like temperature, nutrients, and light exposure to optimize brightness and longevity.
4. Compare energy use and maintenance with conventional lights for sustainability analysis.
5. Study ecological effects by observing plant and insect behavior around the light source.
Start small with lab-scale setups before scaling up.
