My boys are doing a Sienice project. UNHIDDEN SUGARS IN YOUR FOOD
We run to a problerm using controlled environment when we were testing glucose strip - adding 4 grams of glucose gave us only 0.5% - green we were unable get 2% of concentration. We bought another glucose tests and sane. We added 20 g to 200 ml than we got brown colour 2% . Just unsure if glucose is not strong ? Or glucose test and not sensitive.

we were forced to buy our own kit in a store we buy through Amazon some of the items which one of them was urinary stack and pure glucose sugar. We bought urinalysis stick not blood sugar sticks.

The project is glide Feb 3 we are still interested in this project just unsure how to proceed?

Hello!

This seems like a cool experiment! However, there should not be a green or brown color in your experiment -- all of the liquids should be some shade of red. If your test strips don't work for your 2% solution, it may be due to the limitations of the test strips. Many of these strips are only for low concentrations of glucose and can become unreliable on higher concentration solutions (like your 2% solution). I would suggest simply eliminating the 2% solution from your testing, since you still have 1 control (the clear solution) and several diluted ones, making for a solid experiment.

Hope this helps!
