I wanted to do Artificial Pancreas for my science fair. The issue is that the materials are not readily available in my country. So I’ve managed to get an alternative.

For the pump, I’ve the 3V 5V Submersible water pump with a tubing. I’ll attach an image of it. I thought i can place it in the container containing tap water (insulin) and the outlet tube will pump water into the Distilled water. So since it’s quite different from the one actually used is there any differences in the coding or wiring of the circuit?

HI there,

This project should still be functional with this different type of pump without many major code changes, however it is important to note that some of the outcomes with the other pump in the experiment may be different from your outcomes, so you may have to tweak some things along the way. Make sure that you are using a 3V power supply(2 AA batteries in series should suffice) instead of the Arduino's 3.3V power supply to make sure the pump won't get overvolted. Hope this helps.
