Hello,

If this is your first Arduino project, we recommend going through at least the very first tutorial on this page: https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... an-arduino. This will help you understand the basics of uploading a program to the Arduino, without having to worry about a more complicated external circuit. It is much easier to tell if a program is "working" with things like blinking LEDs (which you can see) than with ultrasonic sound (which you can't see or hear).

From what I can see in your picture, your circuit does look correct, but again I would go through the tutorial so you understand the basics first. The project has you work through progressively higher voltage power supplies on purpose so you can see how much voltage it takes to start working well. It is unlikely that it will work right away with just 5 volts.
