Hi!
An ice cube melts fastest in a liquid that can give it heat quickly or make it less stable. Warm water melts ice the fastest because it has more heat energy to transfer into the ice. If all the liquids are the same temperature, salt water usually melts ice faster than plain water because the salt lowers the freezing point of water, which makes the ice melt more easily. Sugar water can also speed melting a little, but not as much as salt water.
