Science Buddies: "Ask an Expert"

Hi I am a Grade 11 STEM Student and we have a group project about creating an instruction book about a new invention that we have to create by ourselves. It is either about communication or could be use for daily tasks but we've decided to choose to construct a new invention that will be helpful for daily chores. We don't have any ideas so can you give us some suggestions? ASAP please it is due on Friday. Thank you!

This sounds like a fun project, one that invites you to think creatively about what the problem "is" and what would help solve it. Since you are working in a group, you have the ability to brainstorm together and build on ideas until you find the right shape for what you want to outline as a solution.

You've narrowed in on bleep to help with daily chores. That's good, but it is also still broad. Knowing what solution you will build depends on knowing more about what the problem is. What chores are in the mix? Will the solution target a single chore, bleep that has a single task? Or is it bleep broader? Does the assignment require bleep realistic in terms of a solution? Or are you being asked to "imagine" bleep that could be designed or built?

You say you have no ideas, but you've narrowed to chores, and that probably carries with it a sense of what you think you could improve with a STEM solution.
