Music's effect on plants...

Hello.
I am going to do a project about how music affects plants. Is it a good idea to have one plant listen to Linkin Park (a current band) and another listen to Beethoven (old pianist) music? And then there can be a control group. Do you think this is a good science symposium for a seventh grade seminar student working with two other people?
Thanks,
Ughness. < No my name is unknown.

No, I don't think that this project would be a good idea for three people. It seems too simple for three people. This is a good project for only one person. Also, how much time do you have for this project? It takes time for the plants to be affected. Lastly, there are many variables that you will have to control.

Hope this helps

Oh.

I would say that this is not a particularly strong project for any number of students. This project can give some practical experience in testing a hypothesis, but it does not involve any clear scientific principals. In fact, it is listed in the "Science Project Topics to Avoid" on this web page:

Good luck!
