major sources of energy

hello science buddies! :wink: i just want to thank you! Can you pls help me in my project about the 7 major source of energy. The internet is giving me lots of energy source but i cannot choose the right one.pls help me :cry:

Hi,

You still need to make your question more specific. For example, the major sources of energy for generating electricity in CA are:

Natural Gas 33.39%
Nuclear 12.87%
Large Hydro 11.17%
Coal* 9.84%
Renewable 10.39%

As you can see, the answer to your question depends on what you define "energy" to be and where you are on the face of this planet. For example, cow dung is a major source of energy (for generating heat) for some parts of India. And Renewable can include the sun, wind, water cycle, and ocean currents.
