Oral pH is significant in many regards:
--it determines the micro flora and fauna that live in your mouth
--certain pH's can cause tooth deterioration
--pH can be interpreted in some context through taste (acidic corresponds to a sour taste while basic corresponds to a bitter taste)
... the list goes on. Perhaps you could narrow down your question, so that we can better understand your question.
