i want to know what information i need to find on my science fair project on '' what spectacle lens best absorbs uv light?'' i need help on what materials and procedures i need for this type of project. :?: :?: :?:

one experiment that would be interesting would be to expose light-sensitive paper to the sun, filtering some parts of it with different lenses. Some materials to try would be glass, polycarbonate, safety lenses, and "high-index" materials. There are also several coatings that opticians can put on the lense to block UV, so you could try those. Another interesting twist would be to try different tinted lenses that are made of the same material and test if there's an effect on light transmission. A glasses shop will have examples of lens materials that are the same thickness (important!), and a cool shop owner might even help you with the experiment.

what other things are you thinking of trying? Also, a bit more information on your project would be useful- what grade are you in?

have you searched the internet looking for this information?

Have you tried sampling several different types of disposable diaper?

Is this the main focus of your project, or are you simply using it for another project aim...
