I was curious what the density unit for all hemacytometer measurements were. I know that it measures cells per unit of volume, but I do not know what size of volume it measures.

Interesting question. Here are some resources to answer it:

In general use of a hemocytometer involves counting cells in a small volume. The sample is usually diluted so that about 100 cells are on the counting grid. Results are reported as cells per unit volume(ml).

Most hemocytometers measure a volume of around 10 uL. It should be printed/engraved into the side of the hemocytometer you are using.
