hello, what causes the gas in the oil power station and wind turbine to increase or decrease during global warming?

Welcome to ScienceBuddies Expert Forum. Please clarify your question, as I am sorry, but I am not sure I understand what you are asking. Are you asking about how greenhouse gases are related to global warming? It is widely thought that burning fossil fuels like oil cause global warming by adding carbon dioxide to the atmosphere faster than plants can remove it from the atmosphere by photosynthesis. The carbon dioxide is thought to trap heat in the atmosphere causing the average temperature of the planet to gradually increase. This is causing the polar icecaps to melt, raising the sea level, potentially flooding the coastal areas and changing the weather, and perhaps increasing the number of bad storms(such as hurricanes). Additionally it is thought that certain chemicals like sulfur dioxide, fluorocarbons, and nitrogen oxides released into the atmosphere by burning fossil fuels and other human activities destroy ozone in the upper atmosphere. Ozone blocks ultraviolet light from reaching the ground. This ultraviolet light can cause sunburns and other problems for people, animals, and plants. For these reasons people are trying to generate more power by solar panels, wind turbines, and other renewable energy techniques that do not involve burning coal, oil and gas. They are hoping that if we can reduce burning these fuels enough plants will be able to remove enough carbon dioxide from the air to reverse the warming trend.

Thank you, sorry for the mix up. the question I wanted to ask was. How much pollution on a average ,would a field of Wind turbines creating the same amount of energy as an, oil fired power station save?

That's an interesting question, and a good topic for a research project. I think Barrett has given you the information you need to get started. You can choose one or more of those pollutants, and then use internet and library searches to gather information about (1) the quantity of power produced by a field of wind turbines, and (2) the quantity of those pollutants produced by an oil fired power plant generating the same amount of power. If you want to go further, you could also try to consider the pollutants produced as a result of manufacturing and maintaining the wind turbines and oil-fired power plants.
