Hi,

My name is CJ and I am doing a science project on sorting of sedimentation. My question is "Do sedimentary rocks form differently in cold or warm climates?

Thanks for your time.

CJ

Hi CJ,

Welcome to the Ask an Expert Forum! :)

You have a very interesting question, but I'm not exactly sure what you are asking us to do. Did you need help with your background research or your experimental design? Please clarify, and we will do our best to help you.

Cheers,
Heather

Hi CJ,

Well, we know that sedimentation depends on climate, particularly because precipitation (amount of rain) varies by climate. It may have more to do with how wet things are than it has to do with temperature, but both could have an effect.

Are you working on the research portion of your project?

Cheers,
Heather
